Stern School of Business to offer IP evaluation and commercialization course


It’s an oft-heard lament regarding intellectual property management and valuation: “It’s not taught in business school.”  Now, in what appears to be a hopeful sign for IP investment and management, NYU’s Stern School of Business has created a course that “focuses on learning how to identify and evaluate a good technology commercialization opportunity” and “how to determine the best business approach for commercialization.” And in what has to be a hopeful sign for the future of technology transfer, the course addresses the intracasies and nuances of converting what inventors and scientists develop into viable business concepts.
