A glimpse of per capita sales of licensed merchandise


Canada squeaked by the U.S. once again with the highest per capita sales of licensed merchandise in 2012: $269.39, according to International Licensing: A Status Report, just updated with key 2012 figures for 49 countries. Rounding out the top 5 are the U.S. ($268.06), Iceland ($118.14), U.K. ($106.94), and France ($102.54). No other country exceeds $100 in per capita sales.

Of the 49 countries studied, 14 have per capita sales between $50 and $99, 11 have sales between $10 and $49, and 19 below $10. Lowest on the chart is Vietnam, at $0.11 per capita in sales of licensed goods. Click here for details about the full International report.
